Ya sabéis que en esta página no se postea material en español, ya he explicado en distintas ocasiones la razón, así que no voy a repetirme.
En esta ocasión, y no es la primera vez, os traigo este disco a petición de la propia banda, en este caso de Charly, su guitarrista. "Midnattsol" is Norwegian for 'midnight sun'.
Nordlys is the translation for "Northern Light".
Although their sound can be classified as symphonic metal, the band prefers to call their style 'Nordic folk metal' because of the folk elements in their music and occasional Norwegian lyrics.
Carmen Elise Espanæs is the sister of Liv Kristine Espanæs Krull (ex-Theatre of Tragedy, ex-Immortal Rites (Ger), now in Leaves' Eyes). Liv is married to Alexander Krull (Leaves' Eyes, Atrocity (Ger)) and he, being Carmen Elise's brother-in-law, produced Midnattsol's first album (and their demo as well).
