El próximo 26 de Junio sale al mercado "Sound Theories’, el nuevo disco de Steve Vai. Se trata de un doble disco en directo grabado con la Netherlands Metropole Orchestra. En el primer CD incluye un set de Steve Vai acompañado por la orquesta tocando canciones de siempre del guitarrista más algún tema nuevo. En el segundo disco la orquesta interpreta canciones del guitarrista.
El propio Vai ha dicho sobre el disco: "Quise ser compositor desde que era niño. Aunque la guitarra cayó en mis manos y mis dedos se quedaron pegados al instrumento, estudié composición y solfeo mucho antes de empezar a tocar la guitarra. Durante el instituto y más adelante continué con mis estudios, pero la perspectiva de conseguir que una orquesta tocara tu música cuando estás considerado solo como guitarrista de rock se me hacía imposible. Llegar a oír tu música interpretada por una orquesta es el mejor regalo que un compositor podría tener. Este proyecto era un sueño para mí. "
Algunos vamos a compartir el sueño de escucharlo en vivo estos días, en mi caso mañana Sábado 7 de Julio en Lorca, un saludo.

"Por primera vez en mi vida, he podido escribir letras sobre el otro sexo, no creo que haya escrito ninguna letra sobre una mujer en OVERKILL. Me di cuenta de que en THE CURSED, habían escrito ocho temas con mi perespectiva y con mis sentimientos sobre las cosas que me han pasado y que he visto. En todos los sentidos, es un material nuevo para mi. Las letras, los conceptos, la forma de cantar, incluso los temas que interpreto son más melódicos y hechos por pura diversión. A pesar de todo, la música sigue siendo cruda y sucia, no se lo pongas a tu madre. THE CURSED ha sido una experiencia muy divertida para mi."
